SAN FRANCISCO — The cause of death of Victoria Jones, daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, has been revealed.
Victoria died of an accidental cocaine overdose, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in San Francisco revealed to ABC7 Eyewitness News in San Francisco on Tuesday.
The San Francisco medical examiner’s office “certified the death certificate and assigned the manner of death as an “accident,” and the cause of death as “Toxic effects of cocaine.”
Victoria Jones was found dead at the Fairmont San Francisco hotel on New Year’s Day. She was 34 year old.

San Francisco police say they found a deceased female at the hotel after responding to a report of a deceased person around 3:14 a.m. on Jan. 1.
The Fairmont San Francisco released a statement at the time, writing:
“We are deeply saddened by an incident that occurred at the hotel on January 1, 2026. Our heartfelt condolences are with the family and loved ones during this very difficult time. The hotel team is actively cooperating and supporting police authorities within the framework of the ongoing investigation.”
Months before her death, she was arrested in Napa, California for fighting with her husband, allegedly over her drug use.
