The 2026 Super Bowl Commercials Are Here, and They’re Weird

Adrien Brody, still fairly hot off of his 2025 Oscar win for The Brutalist, has garnered a reputation for his devastating, complex performances. That’s why, this ad argues, he’s the exact wrong guy to be the face of TurboTax; the company’s job is to make doing taxes easier, not complicate them.

Novartis, “Relax Your Tight End”

Among the many play-on-words moments in this year’s Super Bowl commercials (see the Kinder Bueno ad, for example) “Relax Your Tight End” is too good to ignore. Who better to deliver a message about colon cancer than a bunch of actual tight ends?

Raisin Bran, “Will Shat” (William Shatner)

In 2026, we’re not just protein-maxing, we’re fiber-maxing too. Weeks after he was photographed eating cereal in his car at an L.A. stoplight, William Shatner—billed as “Will Shat,” Raisin Bran’s “Bran Ambassador”—beams down to the Super Bowl to deliver the message that fiber is the next big thing.
