Apple yesterday confirmed an event where it’s expected to launch new devices, and Nothing is poking fun at that by revealing its own March 5 launch event to debut the Phone (4a) series.
As our sister site 9to5Mac details, Apple is preparing a new product launch on March 4, with simultaneous launch events taking place in a few cities across the world for members of the press. The event is expected to see the launch of iPhone 17e, new MacBooks, a new base iPad, and a new budget-conscious MacBook powered by Apple’s A18 chip which is also used on iPad.
Nothing, not one to sit there silently, has its own announcement to go right there along with it.
Carl Pei, founder and CEO of Nothing, posted Apple’s announcement to his Twitter/X profile with “Nothing” and “March 5” plastered over Apple’s details. A further post on Nothing’s account confirmed an event taking place at 10:30 GMT (5:30am ET) on March 5 to launch the Nothing Phone (4a) series. This follows other recent teasers from Nothing including one that, for some reason, is just a condom – presumably a Valentine’s Day joke in bad taste, but it’s just absolutely bizarre –, and another with blue and pink pills that show the potential colors Nothing is adding to its lineup.
