More new content is coming to GTA Online. Rockstar Games have both unveiled and teased what to expect as soon as this week and looking through the next few weeks.
In a Newswire posted on Tuesday evening, Rockstar have revealed a new collaboration and content initiative. They have joined forces with content creators GTA Series to showcase a new yet classic piece of content.
Making use of the recent Mission Creator for GTA Online, GTA Series have crafted “Old School Hits”, a new game experience that’s inspired by the original Grand Theft Auto trilogy. This will be the first creation part of their “Community Mission Series” in GTA Online. It will be exclusive to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC’s Enhanced edition.
As for what to expect in the upcoming Event Week, there will be 4x GTA$ and RP on Old School Hits” for a “limited time”. The new Event Week will begin on Thursday, May 1st. We’ll have the full details in our usual coverage article.
In typical Rockstar Newswire fashion, there is also a tease for what’s next in the future of GTA Online. The company teases additional community-made Missions to come as part of the Community Mission Series “later this year”. Also, more of GTA Online events will be coming. One coming next month will be a motorsport-based Community Race Series out in May.
If you make a mode within the Mission Creator and it gets featured, Rockstar will give you GTA$10,000,000, the ultra-rare Rockstar Community Series Varsity Jacket and Mansion Trophy.
