New Apple products keep launching, here’s what’s coming next

Apple has launched six new products already this week, but one more day of unveilings is expected. Here are the new products rumored to debut this Wednesday ahead of Apple’s in-person press gatherings.

New ‘MacBook’ or ‘MacBook Neo’

Today Apple announced new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models, but a third new Mac is on the way.

A new ‘MacBook’ or perhaps ‘MacBook Neo’ is expected to be unveiled on Wednesday.

The new model is rumored to cost around $699 or $799 and offer the following features:

  • A18 Pro chip
  • 12.9-inch display
  • 8GB of RAM
  • Fun color options like what the iMac offers
  • Aluminum design

Essentially, it’s a new entry-level MacBook that should appeal especially to the huge market of PC and Chromebook users who currently own an iPhone.

Our own Chance Miller will be in-person at Apple’s NYC press event for a hands-on look at the new MacBook.

iPad with A18 chip

In the lead-up to this week, a new base iPad with A18 chip has been widely expected.

Apple already announced a new iPad Air earlier this week, so it’s possible that the new base iPad isn’t ready to ship yet.

However, a Wednesday unveiling of the iPad is still very possible. It could pair nicely with the low-cost MacBook for several reasons:

  • both would include similar A18 chips
  • both are entry models in their respective lineups
  • both offer a variety of fun color options

Additionally, Apple is already splitting up Mac announcements over multiple days, so there’s no reason it can’t do the same with the iPad.

The new A18 chip will give the base iPad support for Apple Intelligence for the first time. That means all AI image creation features, writing tools, and the forthcoming Siri upgrades will be supported—and a lot more.

Outside of the A18, the iPad is expected to retain the same basic design and features as its A16 predecessor.

An N1 wireless chip might be another change, as Apple has added it to most of its new products this week.

Wildcards: New Home products

It’s unlikely that Apple will announce more than the low-cost MacBook and iPad tomorrow.

However, if there are any surprises coming, they’re likely new Home products.

A new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini 2 have been rumored to launch for a while now. Originally they were expected to debut last fall, but never arrived.

Another Home product expected soon is the long-rumored ‘HomePad’ or ‘HomePod Touch’ device. Rumors indicate it’s being held back until Siri’s AI upgrades are ready.

My guess is that all of the new Home products are in a holding pattern until Siri’s promised overhaul materializes. Based on the latest reporting, that means we could get a launch later this spring near iOS 26.5, or perhaps at WWDC in June.

So as much as I’d love to be surprised, I wouldn’t expect to see any new Home products launch this week.
