In addition to announcing six new products over the last two days, Apple has seemingly leaked the name of at least one more product we still expect to see revealed this week. Now it appears more than just the expected name has surfaced.
MacBook Neo won’t repeat the 12-inch MacBook port problem
Per MacRumors, additional details about the new low-power “MacBook Neo” have leaked ahead of tomorrow’s expected announcement.
Details include I/O, which is said to consist of two USB-C ports as well as a MagSafe charging port.
Apple already features two USB-C ports and a MagSafe charging port on the M2 MacBook Air and later. This would be a continuation of that choice in terms of ports.

Apple’s discontinued 12-inch MacBook made a different set of choices when it comes to ports. It featured a single USB-C port and no MagSafe charging. This meant that the computer’s data port was not accessible while charging the laptop.
The latest leak also points to the inclusion of Wi-Fi 7, but no Apple N1 wireless networking chip.
MacBook Neo is expected to run on an A18 Pro chip originally designed to power the iPhone 16 Pro, although Apple could use the A19 Pro chip inside the iPhone 17 Pro.
We should know everything by this time tomorrow. Apple is holding a media experience that starts at 9 am ET, and 9to5Mac will be reporting from the event in New York City.
