NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) — Firefighters are battling a massive blaze that erupted on a barge in the Delaware Bay.
The fire was first reported around 10 a.m. Tuesday in New Castle, Delaware.
Video from Chopper 6 showed flames and smoke rising from the barge, with fire boats spraying water.
The Coast Guard reports this is a scrap metal barge heading northbound on the river.
There has been no word on any injuries.
It’s not yet known how this fire started.
