Martin Short’s Daughter Katherine Dead at 42

Martin Short’s daughter, Katherine, has died at the age of 42.

On Tuesday, February 24, TMZ reported that authorities responded to a call at Katherine’s home in the Hollywood Hills where they discovered she had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Katherine —  the adopted daughter of Martin, 75, and late wife Nancy Dolman, who passed away in 2010 — worked as a social worker in Los Angeles. She was also involved in Bring Change 2 Mind, a charity that focused on the stigma that is often attached to mental health issues.

Short and his longtime friend Steve Martin have been on a comedy tour together for the past few months, and the two have a sold-out show scheduled in Minneapolis for this Saturday. However, it’s unclear whether or not Short will perform.
