Depending on what side of the internet you’re on, the content you’ve seen about Resident Evil Requiem may be very different. One corner of the internet has been hyping up the game since its first trailer and are now gushing online about how great the experience is. There’s another portion of the internet that’s also been talking about Resident Evil Requiem as well, but their conversations have been considerably different…
Depending on the apps you haunt, you may have seen the insane amount of Leon Kennedy thirst traps that have been circling the Resident Evil Requiem discussion. Without a doubt there have been thousands, if not millions of people drooling over Leon’s appearing in Requiem, so much so that it’s influenced the game’s advertising. Official accounts for Resident Evil, Nintendo and PlayStation have been hopping in on the action, making vague references, hints and jokes about all the love Leon’s getting for his rugged good looks.
To no one’s surprise, the wave of Leon love has made it all the way to Nick Apostolides, the voice actor for Leon. In a chat with The Gamer, Apostolides shared his two cents on the excitement for Leon, and it seems like he’s totally on-board.
“I mean, that’s what you get when you portray a highly, highly sexualized and good-looking character. I could have got a role as an ogre or something, but he’s a handsome, charming guy. It’s hard not to like him. And so the internet put him in these thirst trap memes. I think it’s funny as hell, personally.”
