When U.S. President Donald Trump told CNBC on Sunday that the Israeli-American campaign in Iran is “ahead of schedule,” and that Iran’s leadership “want to talk, and I have agreed,” and when Al Arabiya reported that Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had told his Omani counterpart that Iran is open to any effort that would lead to halting the escalation – it is reasonable to conclude that a new diplomatic track may be taking shape.
