Donald Trump repeated his suggestion that the US’s war against Iran was “complete” and predicted the conflict would end “very soon”.
“We’re achieving major strides toward completing our military objective, and some people could say, they’re pretty well complete,” Trump told reporters at his Doral golf course on Monday.
Trump, who described the war against Iran as a “little excursion”, dismissed a question on whether the US war with Iran would end this week, saying it would end “very soon”.
“We could call it a tremendous success now and leave here . . . or we could go further, and we’re going to go further.”
His comments come hours after he told CBS in an interview that the war against Iran was “very complete, pretty much” and shortly after he told Republican House members at a conference in Miami that “we’ve already won in many ways, but we haven’t won enough”.
