Authorities investigating the disappearance of Today show anchor Savannah Guthrie’s mother in Arizona found blood in her home, as well as signs of forced entry, the LA Times reported on Tuesday.
The grim report came as law enforcement in Pima County remains engaged in a race against time to find Nancy Guthrie, 84.
During a press conference on Monday, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said Nancy Guthrie takes medication daily that is “vital” for her health as he appealed to the public for tips that would bring her back safely.
“She needs her daily medication. And anybody that sees anything that even looks, ‘Hey, maybe that’s her,’ just take a quick picture. Take a video, send it to us.”
During the news conference, Nanos said Nancy Guthrie’s home is a “crime scene,” and told reporters that she “did not leave on her own.”
In an Instagram post on Monday night, Savannah Guthrie appealed to her followers for prayers.
