WINDHAM, NH —The son of iconic musicians is in more legal trouble after being arrested on burglary, criminal mischief, and breach of bail charges on Sunday in Windham, New Hampshire, following assault and threat charges issued in Concord two days before.
Elijah Blue Allman, 49, the son of Cher and the late Greg Allman, of Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California, was arrested in Windham on March 1 for felony burglary, breach of bail, felony criminal mischief, and misdemeanor mischief charges. These latest accusations follow an arrest in Concord, NH, on Feb. 27, on criminal trespass, criminal threatening, disorderly conduct, and two simple assault charges at St. Paul’s School, an elite private prep school on Pleasant Street.

In the Windham incident, police were sent to a home on Ministerial Road, not far from Cobbetts Pond, around 9:45 a.m. on Sunday for a report of an unknown man breaking into a house, according to scanner chatter.
The man was reportedly outside the back door, dispatch said. The suspect then used loppers to break a window to gain access to the home, according to an affidavit. An unknown vehicle was also reportedly on the property. Dispatch told arriving officers they could hear a man speaking while the caller, a woman, was on the phone with them. The woman reportedly hid in a closet during the burglary, according to a court affidavit.
After the police arrived, they followed footsteps around the property and then entered the home. They identified the burglary suspect as Allman, who was “seated on the living room couch, smoking a cigarette,” a report stated. Allman complied with an officer’s commands and was handcuffed.
A detective arrived later and searched the home. A report stated a pack of cigarettes and a lighter were found on a coffee table, but nothing appeared to be missing, according to the homeowners.
Allman was arrested on the charges and held.
A police report accused Allman of dropping a lit cigarette on a rug inside the home, causing a burn, and about $1,000 worth of damage. The damage to the door was estimated to be $1,700, making it a felony charge. The breach charge stemmed from Allman’s release after being arrested in Concord on Friday night.
In the Concord case, officers were sent to St. Paul’s School just before 7 p.m. for a report of a disturbance in the dining hall involving an unknown man who was smoking and “being belligerent.”
A safety officer was able to push the man outside of the hall, dispatch said. Before officers arrived, dispatch said the suspect was inside a black Volkswagen Jetta outside a dorm on Rectory Road, with a woman in her late 40s, and was armed with a cane, but they did not know if he had been using it as a weapon. The suspect was identified as Allman. Dispatch accused him of having a suspended license. The Jetta was owned by the woman, they said.
After an investigation, which included allegations Allman was “exhibiting some odd behaviors in the dining hall area,” making inappropriate comments to girls at the school, and assaulting people with a cane, he was arrested. He reportedly had no connection to the school.
In the Concord case, Allman was taken to the county jail and then released on personal recognizance. He is due to be arraigned in Concord District Court on April 20 on the St. Paul’s School charges.
Allman is due to be arraigned by video on Monday on the Windham charges. A probable cause hearing is booked for March 11.
