Dunkin’ is giving away a limited-edition “iced coffee glove” at stores nationwide for patrons who purchase an iced beverage Friday.
The coffee giant will start handing out the free hot pink glove from 10am until supplies run out at participating stores. The glove will protect the “sipping hand” of those who simply refuse to give up their iced lattes, even in the dead of winter.
“From snowy sidewalks to early morning coffee runs, this glove is a playful badge of honor for the Team Iced faithful all year round,” Dunkin’ said.
The giveaway glove isn’t an ordinary mitten: it’s a bright, branded piece of merch presumably destined to become a collector’s item. The news comes on the heels of Dunkin’s latest winter apparel drop, which includes bold pink and orange ski suits.
Dunkin is America’s biggest second-biggest coffee chain, with more than 9,900 across America. The number one coffee store is Starbucks, but they don’t have baked goods.
It may look gimmicky to walk around with one glove, but for diehard Dunkin’ fans, it’s the ultimate badge of honor.
