People were already caught off guard earlier this year when Disney suddenly removed a batch of titles from Steam. Back in January, 14 games disappeared from the platform without any prior notice, leaving some players frustrated, especially those who wanted to revisit classic Disney titles. Now, it looks like the same thing has happened again.
As spotted on SteamDB, Disney has delisted another wave of games from Steam. This time, the number sits at 15 titles. When combined with the earlier removals, that brings the total to 29 games taken down in just a few months. Just like before, this happened without any warning, announcement, or explanation from Disney or Valve.

Not that movie tie-in games are usually known for their high quality, but it’s sad to see them go regardless. A couple of classic Star Wars games fall victim to this cull – Dark Forces and Rebellion. On the bright side, Star Wars Dark Forces did get a remaster a couple of years ago, and that’s still available on Steam.
Once a game is delisted, it can no longer be purchased from the store. While users who already own the games can usually still download and play them, new players lose access completely. This is especially disappointing for fans of older or nostalgic titles that may not be available anywhere else.
It’s worth noting that delisted games don’t always stay gone forever. In some cases, titles return later due to renewed licenses or updated agreements. However, there’s no guarantee that these Disney games will make a comeback. For now, they are simply unavailable on Steam.
There are several common reasons why games get removed from digital storefronts. These include expired licensing deals, especially for music or intellectual property, publishers shutting down, or developers pulling games due to technical issues or poor quality. However, in this case, neither Disney nor Valve has provided any official reason for the removals.
