Dataminer scoured code of Pokemon FireRed LeafGreen emulator finds ROMs are new and mention Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald

Dataminer @meatball_132 has been checking the code of the newly released Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen to see what secrets lie within and has come away with some interesting findings. The emulator that the two games run on is the same as the Nintendo Switch Online Game Boy Advance one which they discovered sends telemetry data to Nintendo such as which Pokemon you’ve caught and what level etc. The ROMs themselves are brand new ones and contain heavily customised revisions, so a fair amount of work has gone into them. The data miner also discovered that the Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen emulator is coded with emulation hacks for the games and also mentions Pokemon Ruby, Pokemon Sapphire and Pokemon Emerald
