‘Baywatch’ TV Series Casts Noah Beck As Luke

Noah Beck, an actor known for his work in Tubi’s popular YA romance franchise Sidelined, has landed a series regular role in the new Baywatch TV series from Fox and Fremantle.

Beck will play Luke, a rookie lifeguard, and the youngest in a family of firefighters who chose the beach over the firehouse. Luke is the ultimate charming SoCal beach boy, a surfer and a flirt, but when it comes to saving lives, he’s one of the best. He’s got some growing up to do, and Baywatch is a big part of that, especially his relationship with Stephen Amell’s lead character Hobie Buchannon, who he sees as a mentor and a second father.

As previously announced, the cast of the new Baywatch also includes Jessica Belkin as Charlie Vale, Hassie Harrison as Nat, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, Brooks Nader as Selene, and David Chokachi, who reprises his OG role of Cody Madison.

Scheduled to launch on Fox as part of the 2026–2027 season, with production kicking off in the Los Angeles area this spring, the reboot finds wild-child Hobie serving as a Baywatch Captain, following in the footsteps of his legendary father, Mitch. Hobie’s world is turned upside down when daughter Charlie shows up on his doorstep eager to carry on the Buchannon family legacy.

The original lifeguard drama hit screens in 1989, with Jeremy Jackson playing Hobie, and over the course of its original 11-season run, became the most-watched show in the world, airing in over 200 countries, and at its peak reaching more than a billion viewers every week. The series starred David Hasselhoff and also helped launch the careers of everyone from Pamela Anderson and Carmen Electra to Jason Momoa and Yasmine Bleeth.

Fox Entertainment and Fremantle are co-producing the new show, with Matt Nix (Burn Notice, The Gifted) serving as showrunner and exec producing alongside premiere episode director McG, Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto and Mike Horowitz. Fox Entertainment Global holds all domestic rights, with Fremantle managing all international sales.

With his role in the Sidelined films — including the recent Sidelined 2: Intercepted, where he also returned as executive producer — Beck has accrued a following of 40M+ followers across platforms. Released in November 2024, the first film — Sidelined: The QB and Me — remains Tubi’s most-watched original title and, during its debut week, broke into Luminate’s Top 10 Original Streaming Charts, at the same time generating over 2 billion social media impressions.

Upcoming, Beck will be seen starring alongside Lewis Pullman, Camila Mendes, Becky G and more in Danny Ramirez’s directorial debut, Baton, whose cast we announced. He is repped by UTA, Underscore Talent, and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman.
