Sinners is leading the pack with a historic 16 nominations, with One Battle After Another at a close second with 13 nods. Frankenstein, Marty Supreme, Sentimental Value, and Hamnet are also heavily nominated. All those movies are nominated for Best Picture, along with Bugonia, F1, The Secret Agent, and Train Dreams.
The Best Actor race remains tight between Timothée Chalamet (Marty Supreme), Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), Michael B. Jordan (Sinners), and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent). Meanwhile, the Best Actress nominees are Jessie Buckley (Hamnet), Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs I’d Kick You), Kate Hudson (Song Sung Blue), Renate Reinsve (Sentimental Value), and Emma Stone (Bugonia).
Most of the same films made it into the Best Supporting Actor category, where Benicio del Toro and Sean Penn (both in One Battle After Another) will be up against Delroy Lindo (Sinners), Stellan Skarsgård (Sentimental Value), and Jacob Elordi as the Frankenstein monster. Amy Madigan wiggled her way into the Best Supporting Actress category with her scene-stealing Weapons performance — alongside not one but two Sentimental Value entries (Elle Fanning and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas), Wunmi Mosaku (Sinners), and Teyana Taylor (One Battle After Another).
