Janet Jackson Clashes With Brother Jermaine At ‘Michael’ Screening After She Heavily Criticizes Biopic

A family screening of the biopic Michael, meant to celebrate the legacy of the King of Pop, erupted into a heated confrontation between siblings Jermaine Jackson and Janet Jackson, a report has claimed.

According to Page Six, More than 60 members of the Jackson family gathered in Los Angeles last week to watch the film about the late Michael Jackson.

Insiders present at the screening say the atmosphere initially felt celebratory. Relatives reportedly laughed and applauded as the film traced Michael’s extraordinary journey from child star to global superstardom.

But the mood turned sour when Janet, 59, began delivering a pointed critique of the production, questioning everything from the acting to the makeup and even the way characters moved on screen.

One source told Page Six: “She had something negative about almost every scene.”

Tensions then escalated further when Jermaine — whose son Jaafar, 29, is the star of the film — confronted his sister in front of several family members. According to witnesses, the singer stood up and accused Janet of undermining the project.

“You are going to miss this wave,” the Jackson Five singer, 71, allegedly told her. “You are so jealous — just get on the wave.”

The row shocked several younger members of the family who had never witnessed such an open clash between the siblings, Page Six reported.

But it is not the first time the film has caused a member of the family to speak out, with Paris Jackson previously pointing out she was not involved, despite comments suggesting she might be connected to the project.
