TULSA, Okla. (KOKH/KTUL) — Several tornado-warned storms hit the Tulsa metro Friday night.
Widespread damage has been reported across north Tulsa.
Tulsa Tech’s Peoria Campus had a roof blown off.
Large trees were uprooted, traffic signs blown over, and sheet metal blown across streets.
Power lines are also hanging over streets.
The National Weather Service in Tulsa has confirmed five tornado reports in the Tulsa and eastern Oklahoma areas:
- 5:18p NW of Bristow in Creek County
- 6:28p in Tulsa
- 6:39p near Okemah in Okfuskee County
- 6:54p near Collinsville in Rogers County
- 7:19p near Beggs in Okmulgee County
Storms are ongoing throughout Green Country at this time. NWS teams will survey damage to confirm the strength of the tornadoes in the coming days.
