Police say Cher’s son was arrested on Sunday for allegedly breaking into a home in Windham, New Hampshire — his second arrest in the state in a three day span.
Elijah Allman, 49, of Malibu, California, was arrested by Windham police on Sunday after they allegedly found him inside a local home even though he didn’t have permission to be there, the Union Leader reported. He was charged with burglary, criminal mischief and breach of bail. He was arraigned Monday and held on “preventative detention,” the newspaper said.
Allman, whose father was the late Gregg Allman, had previously been arrested on Friday after acting belligerently at a New Hampshire private school with which he has no association.
At about 7 p.m. that day, Concord police responded to reports that Allman was disturbing people in the dining hall of St. Paul’s School. After charging Allman, police said he was released on bail as his case works through the court system.
In that case, he was charged with four misdemeanors: two counts of simple assault, criminal trespass and criminal threatening. He was also charged with a violation of disorderly conduct, which is illegal in the state but not considered a crime.
Attorney information for Allman was not available in court records.
A representative for Cher was not immediately available.
