Court documents refer to singer D4vd as the ‘target’ in murder investigation

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Court documents out of Texas are now confirming that the singer known as D4vd is a suspect in the brutal murder of a 14-year-old girl.

These documents back up what sources have already been telling ABC News.

All of these documents were unsealed out of Texas where D4vd, officially known as David Burke, is from and where his family still lives.

These documents include petitions for his parents to come here to Los Angeles and testify in front of a grand jury.

In these petitions, David Burke is referred to as the “Target” and go on to say, “Target may be involved in having committed the following criminal offenses…: One Count of Murder.”

The petition continues with, “Target may be involved in the death of 14-year-old victim Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who may have been a victim of foul play.”

Hernandez’s body was found decomposing inside David Burke’s Tesla late last year.

That Tesla was parked at a Hollywood tow lot.

These newly unsealed court documents contain gruesome and disturbing details.

Not only was the body of Hernandez decomposing, it was also dismembered.

These documents detail how her body parts were found in two separate bags in a front storage compartment.

As far as the petition to get D4vd’s parents to L.A. to go in front of a grand jury, their attorney tells ABC7 they’re still fighting that appearance.

They argue their due process rights are being violated.

Today, we have also reached out to D4vd’s publicist, but as of now we haven’t heard back.
