Check your Samsung account – some users have reported that Samsung sent them store credit to use at its online market. This comes literally hours before the Galaxy S26 series is launched, which means a little extra savings if you’re lucky.
Follow Galaxy S26 news:
According to a couple of users on Reddit, Samsung sent them a $50 store credit through their Samsung account, appearing at checkout. The timing would suggest that this is simply Samsung’s Reserve program credit appearing early, before the Galaxy S26 series goes live. But one user notes they never signed up for that campaign, and the $50 credit was sitting in their Samsung account waiting to be used.
It’s also worth noting that Samsung offered a $30 credit to those who reserved, so this sudden discount amounts to more and seemingly requires no action on the user’s part. Of those who received the sudden gift, it appears most, if not all, are based in the US.
There’s still a chance this is tied to Samsung Unpacked, but it’s interesting to see the credit appear for users, all while eligible for devices other than the new phones. For instance, the original post author placed an order for the company’s 45W charging brick. The order was free with the received credit.
At the time of writing, the reserve campaign is still live, and it offers a chance to win $5,000. That’s certainly more than what Samsung is sending users right now. The Galaxy S26 series, as a whole, launches today with some expected upgrades. If the Ultra ends up coming in at the same price it did last year, it might be a steal in the midst of rising phone prices we’re expecting to see.
