Tommy Lee Jones’ Daughter’s Cause of Death Revealed as ‘Accident’

The cause of death for Tommy Lee Jones’ daughter, Victoria Jones, has been made public by local authorities.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in San Francisco announced Feb. 17 that Victoria Jones died from “toxic effects of cocaine” and that her manner of death was an “accident.”

Victoria Jones was found dead in San Francisco on New Year’s Day at 34 years old.

“We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time,” a representative for Tommy Lee Jones said in a statement to TODAY.com after her death.

Cocaine toxicity is caused by excessive cocaine use and can take minutes to hours to develop, according to medical journal BMJ. Symptoms include fast heart rate, increased blood pressure, dangerously high body temperature, excessive sweating, dilated pupils and mood changes.

Victoria Jones was found at the Fairmont San Francisco Hotel by the San Francisco Fire Department when they responded to a medical emergency just before 3 a.m. on Jan. 1. She was confirmed as dead by paramedics, who then called the police and medical examiner to the scene.

At the time of her death, a representative for the Fairmont hotel chain said they were cooperating with authorities during the investigation.

“We are deeply saddened by an incident that occurred at the hotel on January 1, 2026. Our heartfelt condolences are with the family and loved ones during this very difficult time,” Fairmont Hotels and Resorts press director Michelle Heston said in a statement.

According to IMDB, Victoria Jones was an actor who had a small role alongside her dad in his films “Men in Black II,” “The Homesman” and “The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada.” She also appeared on a 2005 episode of “One Tree Hill.

Victoria Jones is survived by her actor father, mother Kimberlea Cloughley (Tommy Lee Jones’ second wife) and her brother, Austin Jones.
