Official Launch Date, Teaser Video, and Leaked Specs

Google officially pulled back the curtain on the Pixel 10a a few days ago with a video teaser that confirms what we’ve been suspecting. The Pixel 10a is not only real, but, as expected, it’s coming a lot sooner than some might have expected.

The 15-second teaser gives us our best look yet at the updated design. The most notable change is the camera bar—or rather, the lack of one. Last year’s raised bump is gone, replaced by a dual-camera system that sits perfectly flush with the rear of the phone.

While the video itself is mostly a design showcase, Google has confirmed through the Google Store that pre-orders for the Pixel 10a go live on February 18. A countdown clock on the site pins the exact time as 7 AM Pacific / 10 AM Eastern. If you’ve been waiting to upgrade your A-series device, mark your calendars for Wednesday.

Carrier leak confirms some specs

If the teaser wasn’t enough, we also got a new spec leak via 9to5Google this morning from the carrier Tracfone. The US carrier accidentally posted a “Knowledge Base” page for the Pixel 10a early, confirming a few of the key specs.

According to the leak, the Pixel 10a will feature:

  • Display: 2424 x 1080 resolution
  • Battery: Massive 5,100 mAh cell
  • Cameras: 48MP/13MP rear setup with a 13MP front-facing sensor
  • Durability: IP68 dust and water resistance
  • Storage: 128GB base model
  • OS: Ships with Android 16

While we’re still waiting on official word regarding the chipset (likely the Tensor G4) and RAM, the Tracfone page even included a front-facing image of the phone in that striking new “Berry” red.

We’ll be covering the full announcement on the 18th, so stay tuned to see if Google has any software surprises to go along with this new hardware.
