8 Filter-Free Pics Of MAGA Ladies That Are So Jarring

There’s no doubt that the famous ladies of MAGA love filtered pics, and in fact, if you scroll through their Instagram pages, you’ll see tons of highly-blurred images. Kimberly Guilfoyle, whose face has transformed over the years, is guilty of this and uses filters so heavy that she looks 30 years younger (but she’s not fooling anyone). We all know that these Republican ladies’ go-to look is cakey makeup, tons of mascara, and overly-drawn lips. That might translate okay in FaceTuned pics and television appearances, but in certain lighting and angles, it just does not look great. And, one particular filter-free close-up of Karoline Leavitt taken by Christopher Anderson for Vanity Fair showed every little detail of the White House press secretary’s face, including specks of mascara under her eyes, orange contouring on her nose, and what looked like lip injection marks — and it gave folks quite the jump scare.

When you see pics of MAGA women void of any filters, it’s easy to see all the subtle nuances of their faces that have been erased by technology. We all have fine lines, visible pores, and perhaps some smudged makeup, but it seems the right-wing wants folks to turn a blind eye to their flaws. Whatever the case may be, their untouched photos are out there in the world, and some of them will give you quite a startle.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders looked deathly pale

If anyone needed a photo filter, it was Sarah Huckabee Sanders in 2017 while talking to reporters as the White House press secretary at the time. While it appeared she had filled in her brows and hastily applied a grayish-brown eyeshadow, some blush and bronzer were desperately needed. Sanders’ pallor was so devoid of any color that she looked like she had seen a ghost. If anything, the MAGA politician should have skipped the muddy shadow and used the time to apply a rosy hue to her cheeks.

Kristi Noem needs to rethink her makeup repertoire

Kristi Noem is definitely one of the MAGA ladies who love to pile on the makeup, which was clear in a photo taken of her in January 2025 while up for the position of Secretary of Homeland Security. While filtered photos and videos show Noem with baby-smooth skin in her Instagram feed, this up-close and personal pic revealed large pores and heavy foundation that did nothing to improve her skin. In fact, it did the opposite, and this is one makeup mistake that isn’t doing Kristi Noem any favors.

Pam Bondi looked unamused in her candid shot

As the current attorney general of the U.S., Pam Bondi likes to look poised and collected in her photos, albeit heavily filtered, as is apparent from her Instagram feed. However, she appeared unsmiling when a photographer captured her at a press briefing at the White House in February 2026. Her hair looked a bit disheveled in a low ponytail, and her undereye area looked like it needed a good dose of concealer, making this one of Pam Bondi’s biggest makeup mistakes that will always haunt her.

Katie Miller’s cakey foundation was on full display

Unlike most of her MAGA cohorts, Katie Miller likes to keep her makeup pretty natural, but a pic taken in May 2025 at the White House showed super caked-on foundation that settled into the fine lines on her forehead and undereye area. The full-coverage makeup was way too heavy for her, and a shade too dark as well. It was almost enough to distract us from her poorly drawn eyebrows that were reminiscent of the thin ’90s style. With the filterless lens, it was clear how uneven the shapes were, and judging by Miller’s expression, she just didn’t care.

Megyn Kelly was caught in bad lighting

Megyn Kelly is proof that if you’re not using a photo filter, good lighting really makes a difference. The right-wing political pundit was captured at the TIME100 Gala in 2025 in a low-light setting with nary a flash on her, causing every shiny spot on her face to show. Looking closely, you could also tell where Kelly had attempted to apply contour, as the dark color was enhanced without any light diffusion. It was definitely an unflattering angle, and one that we’re sure she’s not going to keep in her photo roll.

Kimberly Guilfoyle is always doing way too much with her makeup

Kimberly Guilfoyle’s heavy makeup is already apparent even with her filters, but without them, it looks like her face has been overtaken by products. While watching Donald Trump speak in June 2023, Guilfoyle’s ultra-thick lashes looked ready to fly away, and we’re not even sure how she was able to keep her eyes open with their weight. As for the rest of her makeup, there was not one area of the former prosecutor’s face that was not covered in layers of product. From her inappropriate smoky eyes to the globs of lipstick, Guilfoyle said yes to everything in her makeup bag that day.

Marjorie Taylor Greene should focus more on her skincare routine

We all know that Marjorie Taylor Greene loves hunting, but it doesn’t look like she’s using enough sunscreen while out and about. A photo taken at the U.S. Capitol in May 2023 showed dry, patchy skin that desperately needed a good exfoliation. The light foundation or tinted moisturizer that she used did nothing to cover up the sun spots on her skin, and the makeup only highlighted Greene’s dehydrated face. Perhaps instead of stalking animals in the wild, she should get a facial at a spa, which sounds much more relaxing anyway.

Lauren Boebert’s expression was all of us when looking at her cakey makeup

Not one to be outdone by Kimberly Guilfoyle and Kristi Noem, Lauren Boebert also frequently shows up with a full face of makeup, even during the day. The U.S. Rep for Colorado’s 4th Congressional District looked ready to party the night away with thick lashes, full foundation, and blocky brows in May 2024, but in reality, she was simply talking to reporters outside of the Capitol. We’re not sure who shows up to work with so much product on their faces, aside from other MAGA ladies, but in the clear daylight, it was way overboard.
